Extra Curricular Activities
French Classes
Ms. Joanne O’Neill takes these on Wednesday afternoons for 2nd – 4th class pupils from 14:45 – 15:25. Payment is made directly to Ms. O’Neill at the school.
German Classes
Ms. Lesley McElhinney takes these on Wednesday afternoons for 2nd – 6th class pupils from 14:45 – 15:30. Payment is made directly to Ms. McElhinney at the school.
Spanish Classes
Mrs. Isabel Hearty takes these on Thursday afternoons for 2nd – 6th class pupils from 14:45 – 15:25. Payment is made directly to Ms. Hearty.
Vocal training classes
These are held in the GP room after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Arrangements are made directly with Mrs. Jean Goslin at 840 4547.
Speech & Drama
Mrs. Jean Goslin takes the classes for 5 – 7 year olds on Saturdays from 10:00 – 11:00 and for 7 – 12 year olds on Fridays from 14:45 – 16:15 and on Saturdays from 11:00 – 12:30. Arrangements and payments are made directly to Mrs. Goslin at 840 4547.
Piano Lessons
Mr. Rodney Baldwin gives tuition on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons in the GP room. Arrangements and payments are made directly with Mr. Baldwin at 831 2308.
Recorder Classes
These are held in the school on Monday afternoons at 14:45 for 1st – 6th class pupils. Arrangements and payment are made directly to Mrs. Tuffery at 848 0941.
Soft Ball Tennis
This coaching is given by Mr. Hugh McLoughlin, a qualified coach from Tennis Ireland, at 13:05 – 14:45. This game is suitable for 4 – 12 year olds and payment is made directly to Hugh.
Badminton
Coaching is given by Ms. Linda Daly and Ms. Susan Cairns on Wednesdays in the Parish Hall from 15:00 – 16:00 for 2nd – 6th class pupils.
Swimming
St. Andrew’s Parents’ Association (SAPA) organises classes for Senior Infants – 6th classes in the Portmarnock Sports & Leisure Centre with a qualified instructor. These classes last for half an hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Payment is made through the office to the Coordinator on the SAPA on the SAPA committee.
Football
Coaching takes place in Wednesday afternoons for 2nd – 6th classes from 15:00 – 16:00 at Malahide United’s all weather pitch on the Coast Road and in Malahide Castle grounds when weather permits.
Basketball
Coaching takes place on Thursday afternoons from 14:50 – 15:50 for 2nd – 6th class pupils. Payment is made directly to Mr. Carlitos Fernandez, our basketball coach.
